I did it! I manned up and got a tattoo like I've always wanted.  Did it hurt?  Yes, but not enough to cry about.  And I love it.  It turned out perfect and I couldn't be happier.

So, how is that for the bravery on my list?

And in four days we will in be in our surrogate home, sunny Orlando, Florida.  Let's just hope we willingly want to come home.  Maybe I'll even get some more bravery in.

And for a recap, we've eaten out a total of five times this year... yea for us!  Here's to 2013 for changing our direction!

New and Huh?

We have a neighbor, our next door neighbor, that is well, um, a little scared of the world. We sized up her profile from seeing her and hearing about her. Jennifer and I have both spoken to her once in the more than four years that we've owned this house, or more than 1600 days. So, I went to get the mail today and low and behold, I spoke to her for about 25 minutes. She was asking if it was OK for her to cut some trees down between our properties and then asked me about the television antenna setup that we have. Unreal. Totally pleasant and in a way, very sad, because she's clearly a lady that is scared of the world.

We decided to try out a different place to eat today. The new Cuban restaurant wasn't opened yet, so we ended up at Roasters, which has three locations in ATL. It was quite good, the service was excellent, and well worth the visit.

New Year, New Blog

It always feels nice to start over, and I will take it this year.  I need a complete do-over for 2013.  We all need it.

So we are starting with the following items:

• Conservation
• Productivity
• Positivity
• Bravery

I want to challenge us all with the four items.  I know we are up to the task.  My blog will focus on these items and what I do in each of these areas (as well as general happiness and life).
